Fog Creeper Fittings Explained
Fitting Components
The Maker86 Industries Fog Creeper fittings come in various configurations to allow you to customize your setup. A fitting is comprised of the style of fitting (Cap, Union, Corner, Tee, Manifold, etc.), the main connector size and in almost all of our fittings a drain hole. Some ittings have output methods that either diffuse fog or breakout to a different hose/tube size.
Drain Hole
Fog fluid is comprised of mostly distilled water and when dispersed vaporized. That vapor will eventually condensate and turn back to a collection of water. If that water collection has no where to go it has the potential of clogging tubes and hoses at low points. Most of our fittings are designed with a drain hole that allows fluid to weep out of the fitting to reduce the maintenance on a distribution line over time.
Diffuser Openings
Our fitting diffusers allow for a controlled way for the fog to escape from the tube in a desired location. Each fitting defines how many diffuser openings are in each fitting and location along with the square area of the diffuser opening.
Area of the Tube and Fitting Pass-Thru
Pressure, pass-thru, and diffuser area in the line matters on the force of the output you are desiring. The less area you allow through your diffusers compared to the area that can pass through the hose and fitting at the smallest point will create a higher pressure output through your diffusers and fog will throw further. On the other hand, the less area you allow through your diffusers compared to the area that can pass through the hose and fitting at the smallest point will create a lower pressure output through your diffusers and fog will give the effect of creeping out.

Fog Creeper Herd and Chainswarm ship with 1-1/4 in. I.D. x 1-1/2 in. O.D. x 50 ft. sections of Black Flexible Vinyl Tubing. This tubing is compatible with 1-1/4in ID fittings.
5/8in OD Fittings are compatible with 5/8 in. O.D. x 1/2 in. I.D. Flexible Vinyl Tubing.
